Rail Rahi is a tiny chat-and-feed app for Indian Railways passengers. Enter your 10-digit PNR and surname, and you're dropped into a room shared with everyone else on your train for that journey.

We built this for the boring stretches between stations — when the AC is acting up in your coach, the pantry order list is going around, someone in B2 wants to start an antakshari, or you just want to know whether the train is actually on time.

The app is designed for low-bandwidth on-board connectivity: no images, system fonts only, tiny JavaScript, and offline-friendly message queue.

Rooms auto-expire 48 hours after the journey date. Your raw PNR is never stored — only a salted hash kept for 24 hours as a cache key. See Privacy for the full data story.
